AIR TAHITI NUI NAMED WINNER BEST “ONBOARD SERVICE EXCELLENCE FOR A SMALLER AIRLINE” IN SKYTRAX 2006 AWARDS

Tahiti Nui “#2 Airline in the South Pacific” and #6 Worldwide for
“Best Onboard Service”
NEW YORK, NY, February 27, 2006 – Both the SKYTRAX® independent aviation
analysis and readers of Global Traveler magazine have given Air Tahiti Nui top
marks in recent surveys. SKYTRAX Awards, which provide the most prestigious
recognition of outstanding quality excellence for product and customer service
delivery in the world airline industry, has named Air Tahiti Nui its 2006 winner
in the “Onboard Service Excellence for a Smaller Airline” category.
In addition, Global Traveler’s “Best of 2005” reader poll
ranked Air Tahiti Nui the number two “Best Airline in the South Pacific,
Australia, and New Zealand,” and sixth for “Best Onboard Service”
in the worldwide category.
The young, eight-year-old airline has a fleet of just five wide body Airbus
A340-300 aircraft that connect travelers to four continents, including the only
nonstop service available from New York to Tahiti. Passengers on Air Tahiti
Nui are greeted with the scent of Tiare Tahiti flowers and the romantic sound
of native hymns, immediately creating a distinctive Tahitian atmosphere from
the moment they step onboard the aircraft.

SKYTRAX Excellence
In announcing the awards, SKYTRAX noted its “Onboard Service Excellence
for a Smaller Airline” accolade “honors both the high quality and
consistency of in-flight service delivered by Air Tahiti Nui.”
Air Tahiti Nui has featured regularly in the SKYTRAX Awards, having won the
title of “Best Airline – Pacific” and finished in the top
10 for best cabin service worldwide for the past three years.
SKYTRAX rates products and services on up to 800 different rating points. The
awards panel is comprised of directors and audit staff at SKYTRAX, with additional
grading input for the 2006 awards from a selective study of 3,424 members of
the SKYTRAX Business Research Group.
Tops With Global Travelers
Voted sixth in the world for “Best Onboard Service” by Global Traveler’s
2005 reader poll (up from 10th last year), Air Tahiti Nui outranks Emirates,
United Airlines, Singapore Airlines and All Nippon Airways. Rated number two
“Best Airline in the South Pacific, Australia, and New Zealand,”
Air Tahiti Nui jumped a spot from the previous poll. This latest survey ranks
the Tahitian carrier ahead of Air Pacific and Air New Zealand.
The Global Traveler poll was conducted over a six-month period with the participation
of nearly 5,000 magazine readers.
Air Tahiti Nui launched first-ever nonstop service from New York to Tahiti in
July 2005, providing unprecedented accessibility to Tahiti for the US east coast.
The airline flies to Papeete thrice weekly from John F. Kennedy International
Airport with one-stop direct service to Sydney, Australia, and Auckland, New
Zealand (the latter commencing March 27). Air Tahiti Nui also offers daily nonstop
