Business Editors/Travel Writers
LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 15, 2003--Air Tahiti Nui has added Bora Bora Cruises to its wide range of travel company alliances specializing in high quality tourism products in the Tahitian Islands.
The international flag carrier of Tahiti was named the preferred air partner for the new niche cruises which will offer seven, four and three day explorations of the calm lagoons of Tahiti's leeward islands, Bora Bora, Raiatea, Huahine and Taha'a, beginning June 16th according to Air Tahiti Nui's Vice President-North America Wally Sumner. Sumner noted that special introductory prices will be offered through tour operators and wholesalers until May 31st.
"We are pleased to welcome another member into the Tahitian tourism family," Sumner said. "Bora Bora Cruises will offer a unique way to experience the beauty and serenity of the world famous Polynesian lagoons in luxurious comfort and complement the other cruise products which exist in Tahiti, just 7 1/2 hours from L.A.," he added.
Sumner pointed out that the two brand new sister Swedish-designed 240 foot yachts, Tu Moana and T'ia Moana were built in Australia and have 37 spacious cabins, each elegantly decorated and featuring flat screen TVS and DVDS. These luxury yachts will depart each Monday morning from Bora Bora. He also noted that the 100 foot catamaran Haumana will provide four and three day options for those who prefer shorter itineraries.
Air Tahiti Nui will offer 14 weekly flights from Los Angeles to Papeete this summer, a record level of capacity to meet the increasing demand for airlift to Tahiti and her Islands. The carrier, noted for superior in-flight service and featuring high technology three-class A340-300 aircraft, also will serve the Los Angeles to Paris route
6 times weekly.
